WORLD BRAIN DAY 2020

Dear all,

Trust this message finds you, your colleagues, and families well despite the COVID19 pandemic. I am writing this to invite you to take part in World Brain day 2020, actively. As you are aware, this year for World Brain Day (WBD), we are excited to announce that the World Federation of Neurology is partnering with the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society to raise awareness for Parkinson’s Disease. There are more than 7 million people of all age groups living with Parkinson’s Disease worldwide, and the illness affects many more than this number through its impact on families and caregivers.

Brain disorders are the leading cause of disability in the world. We must get our policymakers, and political leaders recognise this fact and support us promote the best Care for our patients.

We hope you will join us and help spread the word about World Brain Day and other brain health initiatives by following the World Federation of Neurology on Twitter and Facebook. We will provide material to assist in organising these activities, and if you need further advice or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the WFN Office (wbd2020@wfneurology.org). Please feel free to translate them into your language. Spread the word. WBD is an opportunity to advocate for the best Care for your patients.
