Dear Colleagues,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

On behalf of the American Neurological Association, I want to express my sincere appreciation for everything you\u2019re doing to support the field of academic neurology and neuroscience. As we navigate these uncertain times, it is more important than ever for our community to remain cohesive and connected. <\/span><\/p>\n

This year, for the first time in its storied history, the ANA\u2019s Annual Meeting will be fully virtual. While this was a difficult decision to make, one of the benefits of going virtual is it eliminates geographic barriers. As such, I\u2019d like to take this opportunity to personally invite you and your membership to attend ANA2020<\/strong>, to be held October 4-9.<\/strong> \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For over 140 years, academic neurologists and neuroscientists have connected over exciting research updates and best practices at the ANA Annual Meeting and we\u2019re confident this year will be no exception. Highlights of this year\u2019s virtual event include:\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

\u25cfPlenary Sessions diving into the science behind recent breakthroughs in our understanding and treatment of neurological disorders across a broad etiological spectrum including \u201cGenomics of Personalized Medicine,\u201d \u201cMicroenvironment Control of Brain Tumor Pathogenesis,\u201d and \u201cTargeting Glia for Therapy: Mediators of Neuroinflammation, Degeneration and Repair\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

\u25cfPresidential Symposium on \u201cLeveraging Digital Technologies in Neurology\u201d and the Derek Denny-Brown Young Neurological Scholar Symposium featuring presentations from the 2020 Derek Denny-Brown awardees, the Wolfe Neuropathy Research Prize and the Grass Foundation-ANA Award in Neuroscience recipients<\/span><\/p>\n

\u25cfPresentations representing the latest advances in translational neuroscience, neurobiology of disease, and academic neurology including sessions on teleneurology, academic resiliency in the time of COVID-19, and neuro-infectious disease <\/span><\/p>\n

\u25cf18 Special Interest Group (SIG) sessions including Global Neurology, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Neurogenetics<\/span><\/p>\n

\u25cfInteractive workshops spotlighting advances across the full spectrum of neurologic subspecialties<\/span><\/p>\n

\u25cfEmerging Scholar Lectures, a new addition this year, focused on providing a platform for junior and early career investigator presentations <\/span><\/p>\n

\u25cfNetworking Opportunities <\/span><\/p>\n

Attendees will be able to experience sessions in real time as they will be live streamed along with live Q&A. Additionally, registration includes the ANA2020 Meetings Recording package, so attendees can watch and re-watch sessions at their convenience, regardless of their time zone. <\/span><\/p>\n

This year, we are giving back to the neurological community by offering complimentary ANA2020 registration for ANA members<\/a><\/span> and significantly reduced registration rates for non-members. Registration will open on June 15, 2020<\/strong>, and you can find additional details on the Annual Meeting website: https:\/\/2020.myana.org\/<\/a><\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n
